Updated analysis on Turkey’s energy sector released by U.S. Energy Information Administration

The U.S. Energy Information Administration updated its country analysis brief on Turkey’s energy sector. There is some good background information here for future stories and maybe enough for a separate story now.

“Turkey is an increasingly important transit hub for oil and natural gas supplies as they move from Central Asia, Russia, and the Middle East to Europe and other Atlantic markets…Unlike several other OECD countries in Europe, Turkey’s economy has avoided the prolonged stagnation that has characterized much of the continent for the past several years.”—EIA

The full brief is posted on EIA’s redesigned International Energy Portal at:

Please remember to attribute the material and graphics in your stories to the “U.S. Energy Information Administration.”
